52The Darling family lived in a small and nice house. One day, Mrs. Darling looked worried. She asked her kids, %u201cWho are you playing with?%u201d%u201cWe%u2019re playing with Peter Pan from Neverland!%u201d they answered.%u201cBut Peter Pan isn%u2019t real, he%u2019s from a story,%u201d Mom Darling replied. She was upset because the kids thought Peter Pan was real. But then, something surprising happened.One night, Peter Pan really flew into their house. Wendy and her two brothers, John and Michael, couldn%u2019t believe their eyes.%u201cIs that... Peter Pan?%u201d Mom Darling gasped. She was scared of Peter and tried to catch him, but only caught his shadow. Peter got away, but he left his shadow in their house.A few days later, Peter Pan and his fairy friend, Tinker Bell returned the Darlings%u2019 house to take Peter%u2019s shadow. Peter said, %u201cShhh, don%u2019t wake them up!%u201d Tinker Bell found Peter Pan%u2019s shadow in a drawer and said, %u201cI will fix you back.%u201d Peter Pan tried very hard to put his shadow back on, but he couldn%u2019t do it.Wendy woke up and saw Peter. She was surprised and asked, %u201cWho are you? Why are you here?%u201d%u201cI%u2019m Peter Pan. I%u2019m trying to put my shadow back,%u201d he replied.%u201cGive it to me, I can help,%u201d Wendy said. She tried to sew the shadow back on with a needle and thread. While she did this, Peter Pan told her about a magical place and the lost children living there. He also told her their stories.
